Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Tabernacle Church, Herrick. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church. Burial will be at a later date. She was born April 3, 1942 in Davenport, NE the daughter of Frank and Marguerite (Thieman) Johnson. She married Clark R. Elder, July 3, 1980 in Beecher City.
She was a member of the Christ Tabernacle Church, Herrick. She was an avid bowler and she loved bird watching and working for the church, especially bible studies and was a prayer warrior.
Surviving are her husband, Clark; son, David Nees (Goldie) of Herrick; granddaughters, Shantell Morgason (Bill) of Herrick and Sasha Price (Chris) of Vandalia; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Shelby, Becca, Abbie, Trayton and Natally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, James and Michael Nees, one brother, James Hugh Johnson and one sister, Frances Johnson May.
