Irene Kroll, NOV. 3, 1923 - JAN. 2, 1998, Services will be 11:30 am, Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Irene Kroll, 74, who died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St Cloud. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 10:30 am Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be 6:30 pm Monday at the funeral home. Crosier Apostolate will pray at 6 pm. Irene Kroll was born in Brockway Township, Rice, to Frank and Mae (McNeal) Janski She married William Kroll on Nov. 4, 1941, in Immaculate Conception Church in Rice. The couple farmed near Rice until 1958. She moved to St Cloud in April, 1958, and assisted her husband in their home building business. She was a charter member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a current member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was a member of St Paul's Christian Women and Crosier Apostolate.
Survivors include daughters, Carol Zirbes and Betty Kroll, St Cloud, Sandy Kroll, Courtland; brothers and sisters, Alphonse of Royalton, Lorenzo of Rice, Maurice of St Paul, Evelyn Pelarski of Long Prairie, Edna Ebnet of Aitkin, Effie Zabinski and Ethel Feia of St. Cloud, and Marge Waldoch of Bumsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Beverly; son, James; brothers, Delmar, Norbert, infant Henry; and sister, Sister Jeanice, OSB. Memorials are preferred to the National Osteoporosis Foundation or the National Heart Association.
