Flora's obituary, which I have transcribed below, states that she was born in Greensboro, Tennessee. I am not able to find a Greensboro, Tennessee, on the internet to see which county it was in.

Flora Etta Ross married Frank Rysdam on August 28, 1912, in Des Moines, Iowa. Frank was the son of Gerritt and Jeanette Rysdam. On July 2, 2016, the link to Frank was submitted by findagrave member Family Tree Researcher.

Flora E. Adams, 98, formerly of Camelot Towers, died at 11:23 a.m. May 3, 1990, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born May 18, 1891, in Greensboro, Tenn., to Samuel A. and Hannah Potter Ross. She married Frank Rysdam on Aug. 18, 1912. He died Dec. 26, 1922. She married John W. Adams on Nov. 28, 1923. He died March 9, 1969.

A resident of Ottumwa almost all her life, she was the Veterans of Foreign War's loyalty queen in 1976.

She is survived by three daughters, Blanche Miller, Frances Gordon and Retha Denning of Ottumwa; two sons, Sam Rysdam and Jack Adams of Ottumwa; 36 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Helen Lehman and Doris Adams; a son, Harold Rysdam; three stepdaughters, Maude Keil, Gladys Hepker and Minnie Gilliand; two stepsons, Frank and Garrett Rysdam; a granddaughter; two sisters, Nancy Fisher and Gladys Russell; and a brother, Jess Ross.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. William Nelson of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the Ninety-nine Club at Camelot Towers or Ridgewood Care Center.
