ROLAND BETH

Roland Beth, 60, of 1814-21st St., Two Rivers, a foreman in the percolator department of Mirro Aluminum Co., Plant No. 1, Two Rivers, where he had been employed for more than 46 years, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital Friday morning.

Mr. Beth was stricken at his home shortly after 2 a.m. and was moved to the hospital, where he died shortly after 4 a.m. He had been in good health prior to the affliction.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, the Rev. George Beth, pastor of St. Mark, Two Rivers, a cousin, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Beth was born at Two Rivers Sept. 19, 1898, son of Nicholas and Mary Lamach Beth. Spending his entire life in Two Rivers, he attended St. Luke Parochial School. He began to work for Mirro Aluminum Co. in June of 1913. In 1946, he was made a die setter in the percolator department of the company. With the retirement of John Zuehl, whom he had served as his assistant for a number of years, he was promoted to foreman in May of 1954. For many years, Mr. Beth also assisted in the cocktail lounge of the former Lakeside Country Club, now the Elks Country Club at Manitowoc. He was a member of Mirro Management Club, St. Luke Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters and Holy Name Society of St. Luke church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Theresa Spaeth, whom he married at Two Rivers May 3, 19__; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Steinhauer of Two Rivers; a son Roy of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Weggo Nagel and Mrs. John Williams of Two Rivers and Mrs. Ervin Hoffman of Manitowoc, and a grandchild.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Monday.
