U.S. Congressman. He was engaged in agricultural pursuits, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1850 and practiced law in Athens County, Ohio, until 1860. He was a member of the Ohio State House of Representatives, (1848, 50) and served in the Ohio State Senate, in 1855. In 1865, he was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-ninth Congress, serving until 1867, elected to the Forty-third Congress, serving (1873-75) and again elected to the Fifty-third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of William H. Enochs, serving 1893, until his death at age 78.

Gravesite Details

Hezekiah Sanford Bundy was laid to rest in Bundy-Paine Cemetery first and moved in 1903 to Ridgewood Cemetery by Julia Bundy Foraker and others in the family.
