Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 11, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Mary Sabol Fabian.
John was a service technician for Equitable Resources in Ingomar, and he had served for six years in the Air National Guard.
He was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Schultz Fabian, who he married on April 4, 1959; two daughters, Patty Edwards and her husband, Tim, of Valencia and Jeanne Bernauer and her husband, Kevin, of Cranberry Township; a son, Michael Fabian of Valencia; his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Krystal Bernauer (William Frishkorn), Brandon and Adam Bernauer and Sean and Jason Edwards; and he was the great grandfather of Tyler and Lily.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Dolores Buch and Rita Kafarda, and his two brothers, Richard and Donald Fabian.
FABIAN - Friends of John A. Fabian, who died Friday, May 30, 2014, will be received at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A funeral Mass at Holy Sepulcher Church is planned for Monday and the time will be announced. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
