Darlyne Joanne Clark passed away at the age of 74 at her home in Crescent Valley.

Her grandparents, Cleveland Commodore (CC) and Emma Jane Moore in Chehalis, WA, raised her.

She met William E Garrison in Oakland, Ca and they married in 1948, then moved to Colusa the following year to open Garrison's Army & Navy Surplus on Market Street. Here they had and raised four daughters: Sandra Earlyne (Cooper) Crickett Janice (Spyres of Arbuckle, CA), Belinda Ruth (Titus of Colusa, CA), Pamela Hazel (Stadick of Portland, OR). In 1960, she and William divorced.

Darlyne relocated to Reno, where she met and married David Armstrong. They have two children: Emma Jane (of Crescent Valley), Charles Whitecloud Armstrong (of Elko). Although they also divorced David remained her lifelong friend.

Darlyne lived in Korea for some years with her son Charles and his family during his time in the military. Then, in 1994 she came to Crescent Valley and fell in love with the peaceful valley and surrounding mountain desert. Her daughter Sandra soon followed her there and helped build a simple life that they both enjoyed greatly.

At the time of her death 5 children, 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren survive her.

Her daughter Sandra preceded her in death six months earlier.

Darlyne will be remembered as an amazingly artistic, creative, and talented woman.
