DELCAMBRE- Funeral Services will be celebrated for Harold R. "Bobby" Clemons, age 77, at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Rev. Roland Fontenot will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
Harold, known by family and friends as Bobby, was born April 9, 1937 in Ft. Myers, Florida to the late Harold Clemons and Ila (Whiddon) Clemons.
Harold passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Bobby was a lifelong boat captain having been a commercial shrimper and working with oilfield companies. He was also an avid deer hunter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Robert L. Clemons (Susan), Johnny Clemons, Linda Chandler and Andre' L. Clemons (Dawn); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carleen Henshaw; and his grandson, JonCade T. Clemons.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Clemons, Robert Derouen, Eyan Deroune, Brett Esponge, Kurt Baker and Chris Conway. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Don Clemons, Johnny Davis, Rick Patterson and Marlin Jones.
