Caroline Aulik Keller, age 89, of 3763 Mackert Street, Manitowoc, died on Friday evening, May 11, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Caroline was born on September 9, 1922 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Henry and Caroline (Trimberger) Stahl. She was a graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan and later graduated from Holy Family Memorial Hospital with her LPN in 1956. Caroline was employed as a nurse until she received her teaching degree from Silver Lake College in 1969. In 1974 she earned her Master's Degree in teaching from Oshkosh and was employed as a Special Education teacher at Riverview in Manitowoc until her retirement in 1984. On November 14, 1942 she married Clarence Aulik in Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1997. She later married Rudy Keller on October 16, 1999 at Holy Innocence Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 2008. Caroline was a past member of the Daughters of Isabella. She liked to play scrabble and sheepshead at the Senior Center and loved her kitty cat, Mitzy. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Joan and Dr. Wayne Fontaine, Ohio, Janis and Dr. Michael Stair, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law: Gerald and Kathy Aulik, Manitowoc, Joel and Kathy Aulik, Newton; 14 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; 15 step great great-grandchildren; two sisters: Viola Zajkowski, Sheboygan, Sr. Carolyn Stahl, Elm Grove; one brother: Augie Stahl, Sheboygan; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Woodrow Aulik, Francis Creek, Russel Aulik, Texas, Shirley Larson, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law: Nancy Aulik; one brother: Michael Stahl; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Connie Zajkowski, Marie Stahl, Clara Pollen, and Bernice Hackbarth. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi - Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Viertel with entombment to take place at Calvary Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi - Waldo from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.pfefferfuenralhome.com.
