Catherine M. Smith, 89, of Millersville, PA, died on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Conestoga View. She was born on January 12, 1925 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Amos and Beatrice (Quinn) Benedict and the widow of Karl A. Smith who died in October 2009.
Catherine was employed most of her life as a factory worker for the former Stehli Silk Mill, and later at the JL Clark Company.
She is survived by her two sons: Karl A. Smith, Jr., of Millersville, Dennis A., married to Bonnie Smith of Lancaster, her daughter, Karen A. married to Dennis Dinkel of Lancaster, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Donald Benedict and sisters Betty Kreider and Violet Eshleman.
