CONNIE JO BANNON, 71, of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, passed away peacefully May 28, 2014 in Aurora, Colorado.

Connie was born January 24, 1943 to Vernon and Mildred Hazzard in Belle Plaine, Kansas.

She had a love for her family, her pets, plants and flowers, Victorian houses, old western books, John Wayne movies and all things Elvis! Her passion was for making quilts and even designing her own quilt blocks. Her creativeness, humor, wisdom and wit will be dearly missed.

Surviving to honor her memory are: Husband: Britt Bannon of Cheyenne Wells, CO; Son: Zack Fisher of Cheyenne Wells, CO; Daughters: Julie Moore and husband, Kenny Moore of Burden, KS; Shannon Valles and husband, Erasmo of Burden, KS; and Sundance Young of Dexter, KS; Step-son: Heath Bannon and wife, Jessi of Neodesha, KS; Brother: Bill Hazzard and wife, Judy of Killeen, TX; Her 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members.

Connie's children were also the children of Dick Fisher, deceased.

Graveside Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Belle Plaine Cemetery in Belle Plaine, Kansas. Miles Funeral Service in Winfield is in charge of arrangements. At Connie's request, please dress casual and wear some camouflage.

Memorials have been established in Connie's name for Denver Hospice in Aurora, Colorado and for Burden United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
