Funeral services for Bobby Joe Darrow of, 58, of the Peerless Community, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, in the Tapp Funeral Chapel with Dr. David Hardage officiating.
Burial will be in the Peerless Cemetery with Benny Fisher, Paul Lowe, Thurman Littlefield, Frankie Littlefield, Chester Littlefield and Jerry Gillispie serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be employees with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Darrow died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1935 in Hopkins County to Frank and Audrey Meador Darrow.
Mr. Darrow was a 1954 graduate of North Hopkins High School and attended East Texas State University. He was an inspector with the Texas Department of Agriculture's Weights and Measures division. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Bright Star IOOF Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, David Darrow of Nashville, Tenn. and Jason Darrow of Richardson; one daughter, Darolyn Darrow of Arlington; parents of Peerless; one brother Billy Frank Darrow of Sachse and one grandson Ben Tramel Darrow of Nashville.
