A Celebration of his Life will be held at The Tam O' Shanter on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4 – 8 pm. Mr. Gannon's remains will be buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Farrar, Iowa.
Dan was born December 4, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of James M. Gannon and Ruth Frances Cairns Gannon.
He grew up in Bondurant, Iowa, graduated from Iowa State University, and served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam.
He worked in Chicago for a short time but his love of skiing drew him west, first to Colorado and then to Sandpoint, Idaho where he spent the remainder of his life.
He worked there as a general contractor and a finish carpenter.
