Bessie Guist Tainter was born in Readstown, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Guist. She came to Janesville in 1927 and after a few years here returned to Readstown, coming back to this city in 1930. Mrs. Tainter attended the United Brethren church. She was a Parker Pen employee. Surviving are two sons, Arland, 18, of the merchant marine, and Eugene, 16; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guist; two sisters; two brothers. She is also survived by her former husband, Wilbur Tainter. Bessie died as a result of an automobile/train accident. Janesville Daily Gazette May 18, 1946.
