MAGDALENA ARLE

Mrs. Magdalena Arle, 88, formerly of Two Rivers and widow of Joseph Arle, early Two Rivers supervisor and businessman, who had been making her home with a son, George Arle, of 2134 S. 17th St., Manitowoc, the past 12 years, died Saturday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Klein and Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. George Beth officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Arle, nee Magdalena Roeser, was born May 5, 1976, at Algoma, daughter of the late Andrea and Leona Antoine Roeser. She was married in 1896 at Sister Bay, Wis., to Joseph W. Arle. The faily moved to Two Rivers shortly after World War I where Mr. Arle established a tire and battery shop. He died at Two Rivers March 23, 1939. Mrs. Arle was a former high chief ranger of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Merton (Flora) Allen, of Waterbury, Conn., and Mrs. Alice Browne, of Green Bay; another son, Lloyd of Milwaukee, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
