Lloyd Finger rites are Friday

Lloyd M. Finder, 65, Nevada, died Wednesday at the Story County Hospital, Nevada after an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Azel Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Finger, born in Paton, had lived in Story County for 40 years.

A former farmer, he was later employed by the chemistry department at Iowa State University.

He belonged to the First United Methodist Church, Ames and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Ames.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Williams West, Libertyville, Ill., six grandchildren; three brothers, Burton, Grand Junction, Russell, Long Beach, Calif. and Edward, Boone; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lestina, Boone; and Mrs. Robert Holland, Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Finger and a brother.
