Memorial services for Terry L. Burroughs, 62, of Wells will be held in the Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells with Pastor David Goodwin officiating. Private family burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Burroughs was born May 13, 1952 in Jacksonville, Texas to Bobbye (Trantham) and the late Roy D. Burroughs. He died Saturday, May 31, 2014 in a Lufkin hospice facility.
Mr. Burroughs was a graduate of Hudson ISD, Class of 1970. He was a certified Ford salesman and a previous sales manager for Anderson Ford in Cleveland, Texas. He also worked for the City of Wells as the Municipal Court Clerk. A resident of Wells for the past four years, Mr. Burroughs was a member of Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church. He was very active in the Wells Food Interfaith Pantry. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.
Mr. Burroughs is survived by his daughter, Kayla Burroughs; mother Bobbye Burroughs; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Randy Scott; nieces and nephews, Emily and Chris Rickman, Heather and Scott Pulaski, Bradley and Brooke Scott, and Andrew Scott; and special friend, Suzanne Massey.
Mr. Burroughs was preceded in death by his father, Roy D. "Teny" Burroughs.
