BYRON A. ASHENBRENNER

Byron A. (Happy) Ashenbrenner, 62, of 2534-45th St., for 35 years a draftsman-engineer with the Contract Sales Division of the Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers, and long identified with music circles in the area, died early Thursday after-noon at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Ashenbrenner was born April 12, 1908, at Manitowoc, a son of the late Louis and Mathilda Schauer Ashenbrenner. He began his employment at the Hamilton firm in February of 1935. As a draftsman-engineer he was one of three Hamilton engineers to go to Ankara, Turkey in 1964 to supervise Hamilton-made furniture installation in a new high school there which was built by the Ford Foundation. Musically, he was a former member of the Meistersinger Guild male chorus, St. Luke male choir, the Hamiltonian male chorus and the Elks Quartette at Two Rivers. He was also a member of the Hamilton 30-year Club and the Good fellowship Club.

Surviving are his wife, the former Johanna Rozumalski, whom he married at Manitowoc Oct. 2, 1930; two daughters; a son (Private); three sisters, Mrs. Howard Kempka and Mrs. Clarence Rathsack of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Joseph Virgili of Reseda, Calif.; two brothers, Alois of Whitelaw and John of Manitowoc, and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels where memorial services will be at 8 o'clock this Friday evening.
