Emily Linnea Galotta, 23, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Edward Hospital, 10 days after being struck by a vehicle while she was riding her bicycle. She was born March 30, 1977, in Downers Grove, IL to Richard and Gail Galotta.
She is a 1995 graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School. In 1999, she graduated with honors from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI, where she was a member of the wind ensemble and managed the radio station on campus. She was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and studied art in Florence, Italy. She was a graduate at National-Louis University in Evanston, IL.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Grant Galotta of Naperville; her maternal grandmother, Victoria Sundstrom of Norway, MI; three aunts, Carol (husband Martin) Sundstrom-Straka of Naperville, IL, Nancy (husband James) Wolfe of Burr Ridge, IL and Joan (husband Joel) August of Dyer, IN; two uncles, John (wife Nancy) Sundstrom of Naperville, IL and Charles Dahlberg of Orland Park, IL; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wallace Sundstrom.
Interment is at Norway Township Cemetery in Norway, MI.
