Baker, Donna M.

Donna M. Baker, age 83, of 1623 23rd Street, Two Rivers, died Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Donna was born May 3, 1929, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine (LeCapitaine) Dugan. On October 21, 1950, she married Maymort J. Baker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1986.Donna and her husband owned and operated Baker's Grocery Store on the corner of 30th and School Street in Two Rivers. She was a past president of the Ladies Rosary Society at the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Two Rivers Senior Center. Donna was a happy, joyful person who loved the Lord and life with her family and friends. She assisted many with her gifts of love and compassion and her "Car of Mercy". Donna also enjoyed spending countless hours with her grand and great grandchildren who knew her as "GG".

Survivors include three sons: Dave Baker, Manitowoc; Robert Baker, South Milwaukee; John Baker, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law: June and Rick Klein, Two Rivers; two grandchildren: Keith (Laura) Klein, Green Bay; Tim (Ann) Klein, Two Rivers; four great grandchildren: Isabella and Olivia Klein, Alex and Katelyn Klein; one sister: Lorraine Bergner, Milwaukee; and one brother and sister-in-law: Edward and Patricia Dugan, Green Bay; one brother-in-law: Eddie (Ruth) Mostek, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by one daughter: Cathy Baker; two sisters: Elaine Mostek, Erma Alberts; and two brothers: Warren Dugan and Francis Dugan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 pm led by Sister Pat Touhey. The visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m.
