Bio note by Jan Dishon Member #46540587; February 26, 2021.

Bowersox, U.S.G., Bauersachs Family History and Chronology (Longmont, Colorado, Dec. 1941).

I have seen many Ancestry trees that link Jacob to parents Johann Valentine Bauersachs (aka Johann Valentine Bauersax) and Barbara Schlonecker. I thought that strange because she would have been 49+ years old when he was born. Now that I have seen the Bauersachs Family History and Chronology (pg. 10) I believe that Johann Valentin Bauersachs and Barbara Schlonecker were his grandparents and that his parents were Jacob Bauersachs and Kittie McBride.

Information received from Dena Gray (48248003) March 26, 2021:
As mentioned in the bio note, I believe the father/mother are misattributed. (Example: father died 1790, son was born 1791, mother unknown.) I think a generation was skipped. There was another Johann "John" Valentine Bowersock born 1767, died 1852 (listed in 1850 census in Beaver, Ohio with wife Ruth) to Johann Valentine 1741-1790 and Barbara Schlonecker 1751-1769. I believe Jacob was born in Ohio to that Johann V B Jr. born in 1767. Confusing, isn't it?

Note by Jan Dishon: In looking at the Bowersox, U.S.G., Bauersachs Family History and Chronology (Longmont, Colorado, Dec. 1941), page 10. I see that Johann and Barbara Schlonecker had children: 4(1)Jacob Bowersock, 4(2)Henry Bowersock, 4(3)David Uriah Bowersock, 4(4) Peter Bowersock, 4(5)Sam B. Bowersock and 4(6)John Valentine Bowersock.

Page 21 lists the 4(6)John Valentine that I believe Dena Gray is referring to. It says he was born in 1811 in Noble, Ohio and died in 1884 and is burried Allenstown, Ohio and that he married Ruth Bates. Jacob couldn't be their son as he was born in 1791.

Any information is welcome.
