Funeral services for Lawrence "Red" Lester, 76, Aurora, were Thursday, September 17, in the Rullman Funeral Home, Aurora, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Mr. Lester died Monday, Sept. 14, in Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. He was a sign maintenance man for the Indiana Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta; five sons, Robert Lester, Leesburg, Ohio, Wayne Lester, Florence, Ind., Frank and Dale Lester, both of Patriot, and Norman Lester of Kentucky; three daughters, Bonnie Henderson, Rising Sun, Connie Emery, Vevay and Lenora Palmer, Greenfield, Ohio; seven stepdaughter, Catherine Morrison, El Cajon, Cal., Martha Moody, Lawrenceburg, Mary Richards, Carol Sowder, Kathy Cole, Bobbie Craig and Debbie Baker, all of Aurora; four brothers, William Lester, Lawrenceburg, Edwin Lester, Vevay, 'Wilfred Lester, Universal City, Texas, and LeRoy Lester; three sisters, Ethel Bevis and Joyce Jones, Rising Sun, Jean Green, Zephyrhills, Fla.; parents, Harvey Lester and Mamie Lester; 26 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Aurora Life Squad.
