Miss Esther Calkins, daughter of Mrs. Sophia Calkins of N. Bloomfield, and a former resident of Victor, and Donald Briggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elnathan G. Briggs, of East Bloomfield, were united in marriage, Tuesday, September 1st, at the home of the bride's mother. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. H. Herendeen, an uncle of the bride, in the presence of 85 guests.
The attendants were Miss Alice Calkins, sister of the bride, and Rodney Briggs, of Rochester, brother of the groom. The bride's wedding dress was a family heirloom, which was embroidered by her great grandmother.
Mr. and Mrs. Briggs returned from a wedding trip to the Thousand Islands, and are residing with his parents on their farm South of East Bloomfield Village.
