Winona Mae Cox, 93, of Lubbock passed away on June 4-2014 in Lubbock with her family at her side. A visitation will be held on Sunday June 8, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 9. 2014 at 10:00 am in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with Barry Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Winona was born on January 10, 1921 in Rotan, TX. She married Otho Jerald Cox on October 15, 1941. Winona was a member of Cornerstone Family Church Assembly of God. She worked for over 25 years at Texas Tech in the food service department and with her family at the Elks Lodge. She loved to sew and garden. She was a loving and giving person and always enjoyed helping others.

She is preceded in death by her two daughters Sylvia Marian Donahoo, and Jeroldine Ann Walz; 2 brothers; 1 sister.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Ava Marie Jennings and husband Jerry, Nona Johnson and husband Connie; one son Jerry Cox and wife Betty; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
