He had been raised in the Spiceland Children's Home and Indiana School for Feeble-Minded Youth from about age five. Both were orphanages.
His father died in 1890 and his mother had melancholia. His siblings were also in the orphanages. Apparently they were unable to care for the children.
His death certificate said he was buried here, the obituary said Locust Grove Cemetery. It's assumed the death record is correct.
