Helen Hughes Abbott, 93, of Yuba City died Nov. 10, 2004, at The Fountains in Yuba City. Born in Yuba City, she was a lifetime Yuba-Sutter resident. She was the co-owner of Sutter Orchard Supply in Yuba City. She was a graduate of Yuba College and attended the University of California at Berkeley. She was a member of Rainbow Girls, Marysville Chapter.
Survivors include two sons, a daughter, a sister, two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Abbott.
Donations may be made to Sutter County Museum, 1333 Butte House Road, Yuba City, CA 95993; or Fremont-Rideout Foundation, 970 Plumas St., Yuba City, CA 95991.
Services: Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. A private family service will be held, with private burial in Sutter Cemetery.
