Don H.Goans. 93, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Feb.23, 2004 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
He was born July 29, 1910 near Lebanon to Albert Alonzo and Mary Catherine (Manning) Goans.
He married Mattie Catherine Simpson on March 9, 1929 and they had four sons and two daughters.
He was a member of the White Oak Pond Cumberland Church and a farmer.

Funeral services for Don H. Goans will be held 10am Saturday, Feb.28, 2004 at the White Oak Pond church with Pastor Terry Hansen officiating.
Burial will be in White Oak Pond Cemetery under the direction of Thieme-Shadel-Hicks/Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

He is survived by three sons Wayne (Pearl), Jim (Betty) and Jerry (Vickie) Goans, all of Lebanon; two daughters, Carolyn (Barney) Collins of Ozark, Vera (Gerald) Meese of Clever; one daughter-in-law, Julie Goans of North Platte, Neb; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mattie; one son Wallace; one brother, Howard; five sisters, Eva Devasure, Lydia Hawkins, Ruth Hawkins, Emma Layman and Laura Chhrisman.
