Robert G. "Bob" Breiding, Sr., age 81, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, departed this life early Saturday morning, June 7, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Bob was born on October 17, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Frederick Breiding II and Elima (Jobs) Breiding.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps and had served in the Korean War.
Bob was a lineman for Union Electric in St. Louis and retired after 36 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elima Breiding; one son, Stephen Breiding; brother, Fred Breiding; sister, Dorothy Gillespie; and brother, William "Bill" Kirk.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Breiding of the home; daughter, Sandra Ferguson; son, Leonard Breiding; daughter, Pam Holland; son, Robert Breiding, Jr. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Pastor Thomas A. Rhodes officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am on Friday prior to funeral services.
Burial will take place at 1:00pm on Friday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
