James Dean Cross, 73, of Beaverton, passed away suddenly on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011. He was born in Midland, on Sept. 18, 1938, to Clyde and Blanche (Owens) Cross. He married Emilia Villacruel in Gladwin on Sep. 8, 1993. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent his entire life in Gladwin County.
James is survived by his wife, Emilia Cross of Beaverton; daughters, Jean Cross of Gladwin and Brenda (Rick) Woods of Beaverton; son, Jeff (Beth) Cross of Mason; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Krenkze of Midland and Shirley Kinnear of Clare; two sisters in-law, Delores Cross of Midland and Connie Cross of Sanford. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Norman and Earl Cross.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Kevin Tippin on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Meridian Church of God in Sanford.
