ERNST BEHRENDT

Ernst Behrendt, 76, 1609 25th St., Two Rivers, a retired veteran employe of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home shortly after 1 .m. Wednesday, after returning from a short walk. He had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Friday at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Chapel, Two Rivers, the Rev. M. J. Roehrdanz of Emanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Ernst Behrendt was born in Germany in 1877, a son of the late Ferdinand and Caroline Moors Behrendt. When he was an infant the family brought him to this country, settling in Green Bay. In 1900 he came to Two Rivers, where in 1903 he married the former Emma Glandt. For 36 years he was an employe of the Hamilton Company, engaged most of his years as a cabinet maker. He retired early in 1952.

Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Arthur, Clement, Norman and Alfred Behrendt of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Smith of Green Bay and Mrs. Michael Goric of Sheboygan; two brothers, Fred of South Haven, Mich., and Paul Behrendt of Manitowoc, and __ grandchildren.

Mr. Behrendt was a member of the Hamilton Goodfellowship Club and the firm's "30-Year Club." Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services.
