92 years of age at the time of her death, a daughter of William and Minerva G. Smith McMillan, and granddaughter of John G. and Paulina Salmon Smith. Her family had moved to Missouri in the 1850's. She married Rev. Robert W. Walker (as his second wife) on Nov. 24, 1878 in Montrose, MO. The family moved to Umatillo Co. Or. in 1886, and came to Goldendale in 1897. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom preceded her in death. Surviving children were Mrs. Lora Barnes of Stevenson, Mrs. Louzetta (Zetta) Gossard of Buena, Mrs. Gertrude Brunneau of Portland, Or., Henry Walker of Goldendale, Roy Walker of Goldendale, and Ralph Walker of White Salmon. She was also survived by her step-daughter, Mrs. D.O. Gordon of Culver City, Ca. (Note: Paulina's name is also seen as Pauline, Polina, and I was told that it was pronounced as "Poh-line-ee").
