Edward J. LaFave, 78, of 2009-41st St., Two Rivers, died shortly before noon Thursday at home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. La Fave was born July 18, 1895, at Oconto, son of the late Charles and Emily Heroux La Fave. He served in the Infantry in World War I and came to Two Rivers in 1920 where he married Mary Solugub, a native of Montana, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, June 21, 1921. In early years after residence at Two Rivers he owned and operated a service station at Stanley, Wis. For a number of years until his retiremnt in 1960, moving to Fresno, Calif., he worked at Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers. The couple returned to Two Rivers in May this year.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter; a sister, Mrs. Ann Hoffman, of Two Rivers, a brother, Louis of Crivitz and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 3 p.m. Sunday where memorial services will be at 8 p.m.
