Harold Mark Cohen of Nashville, Tenn., died peacefully on Nov. 29, 2012. He was the owner of Beechland Farm in Washington County, which he inherited from his wife, Mary Merritt Simms Cohen, the daughter of Benedict Francis Simms and Mary Elizabeth Merritt Simms of Springfield. He is survived by his partner, Alice Zimmerman; his daughters, Ellen Phillips and Elizabeth Merritt Williams; his son, Benedict Francis Simms Cohen; his grandchildren, Katherine Rebecca Shores, Paul Mark and Mary Cohen; and his great-grandchild Vincent Asher Shores.
He was an accountant for many years.
Private services were held in Nashville on Dec. 3, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Care and Concern Fund, Temple Congregation Ohabai Sholom, 5015 Harding Rd., Nashville, TN 37205.
Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home in Nashville was in charge of the arrangements.
