The date of death is an estimated year. I can't verify or even get everything to add up, but do want a memorial for her so she is remembered. I'm unable to find her parents or siblings. But have found in Hendricks Co. records that she and Hiram Runion were married in Hendricks Co. Indiana on 8-31-1880 Book 9 pg 153, and their records shows two females born to them as, one on 4-7-1883 and the other on 7-12-1891. These are the dates I have for Mary in 1883 and Sarah in 1891. The other children are William Thomas 1875-1965, Charles Alford 1887, Clarence 4-7-1883 and Minnie 1890-1924. Hendricks Co records did not show a male being born on 4-7-1883. So I don't think that date is correct, and too, am wondering about Tom's year of birth, as he would have been born when Hiram was 16 and Laura 15, and they would not have married until 5 years later. It's possible but not probable. And too, there's so many years between Tom and Clarence, so therefore, I believe Tom year of date should be moved down and Clarence moved up a bit. My theory only. I have a picture that Mom gave me that is of Hiram and Laura's family. I am almost certain the baby is Minnie born in 1890, Charles Alford in 1887 and the older girl, Mary, in 1883. I also have a picture which Mom told me was Tom with his Dad, Hiram.
I've heard or seen remarks that some of the younger children were taken to an orphanage in Illinois. Another remark that two of the Huddleston boy hopped a train going to Galesburg, Illinois. Have found no record of the orphanage, nor any mention of Laura in Galesburg, but did find Tanner families living in Galesburg.
Also my Great Aunt Mandy married Joe Tanner as her third husband, but can't connect Joe to Laura. Aunt Mandy is a sister of Uncle Hiram It's a mystery I wish I could solve, but am unable to do so. But do want her to be remembered.
