John Bachi, Jr., 78, died Sunday, November 1, 1998, at the Iuka Hospital. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, a retired auto mechanic, and a Navy veteran. Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ with John Hardwick officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Bozzinotti, of Memphis; two sons, James Travis Whitaker of Hobart, Ind., and Troy Whitaker of Bowling Green, Ky.; one sister, Rose Pikolcz, of Bartlett, Tenn.; four brothers, Louie Bachi of Oquawka, Ill., Jimmy Bachi and Bill Bachi, both of Elgin, Ill., and Steve Bachi of Bowhead City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
