Age 50, born in Grapevine, Texas, was raised in Lewisville, Texas and currently resided in Amite, Louisiana, Mike passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was employed with O'Reilly's Auto Parts Store and was a member of New Life Ministries in Amite.
Mike leaves behind his loving wife, Cindy Ottinger; mother, Linda Ward and husband Bill of Lewisville, Texas; father, Larry Michael Ottinger, Sr. and wife Karen of Wills Point, Texas; children, Bryan Ottinger, Jason Duracher and Kristen Duracher. He is also survived by his brothers, Travis Schaubroeck, Troy Ottinger and wife Rachel; sister, Tiffany Suits and husband Greg, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mike in death were his brother, Bryan Ottinger; nephews, Gabe and Eli Ottinger.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the religious services at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Donald Chance will officiate the services.
