Daughter of Hyakuji and Tai Nakamaru Sugiyama of Hiroshima-ken, Saekii-gun, Ōno-mura (present day Hatsukaichi-shi). Sister Mitsu Awamura was Sen. Daniel Inouye's mother-in-law.

Teshima, Kimi, of Honolulu, retired owner of Home Laundry, died Sunday in Kuakini Hospital. Teshima, 92, was born in Kohala, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Chikato, Robert M. and Raymond S.; daughter Agnes M. Ogata; brothers Harold Y., Nobuichi and Dr. Francis S. Sugiyama; sister Mitsu Awamura; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Makiki Christian Church. Casual attire. No flowers.
