Donald R. Hibbard, 57, of William St., a Black-Clawson employe, and vice-president of the machinists union there, died Wednesday at the House of the Good Samaritan. First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John B. Smiley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary I Hibbard; a son, Gary, two daughters Mrs. Doreen Rusho and Glenda Carmen, a brother Dale, and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Violet) Robbins, Mrs. Fern Foster, Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Yarchuk. Another brother, Carlton J. Hibbard, died Oct. 2, 1970, at the age of 47. Born April 23, 1916, in Watertown, a son of Stephen and Bessie Deline Hibbard. He operated the Dutch Kitchen Restaurant, State Street, which was the first city restaurant to sell soft ice cream and white "Coney Island" hot dogs. Mr. Hibbard worked at the Bagley and Sewall Co. from 1940 to 1942 when he entered the Army Air Force serving as a propeller specialist at Payne Field, Egypt; Iran, Abadan, Bombay, India, and in North Africa. He was graduated from the National School of Aeronautics, Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 14, 1942. From 1945 to 1946 he worked at Bagley and Sewall, joining the Taggart Paper Mill in 1946 where he was employed until 1952 when he rejoined Bagley and Sewall (Black-Clawson), He was vice president of the machinists union a Black-Clawson and had served as union president. He married Mary I. Genayel of Cairo, Egypt, Feb. 14, 1946, at Payne Ejertl Ar Base. The couple came to the United States after their marriage
