Mary was born in Springfield, MA to the late Giuseppe and Fenisia Pascucci, attended Springfield schools, and graduated from the High School of Commerce. She mastered the art of cooking Italian cuisine from the mid-Adriatic region of Italy. She loved interacting with and babysitting for her four grandchildren, spending many, many hours with them. Mary formerly worked at the American Bosch, where she met her future husband Tony, the U.S. Envelope Company, and J.M. Fields ( a former large chain retailer ) in Springfield. She loved animals and especially enjoyed her Beagle, "Lady". Mary passed away at Heritage Hall North in Agawam, MA. Her son, Frank and his wife, Mary, were with her as she peacefully passed, speaking to her, holding her hand, and stroking her head to let her know that she was not alone. At the time of her passing she left her husband, Anthony (Tony) Adamski, a retired Captain of the Springfield Fire Department, to whom she was married for over 65 years; a sister, Doris Conti, and her husband Frank of South Hadley, MA; her children, Frank Adamski and his wife Mary, and Karen Wroblewski and her husband Robert of Dracut, MA; grandchildren: Robert Adamski and his wife Lisa of Farmington, CT, and Steven Adamski and his fiancee Suzanne Neufeld of Tampa FL, and their mother, Karen Adamski of West Springfield, Jeffrey Wroblewski of Foxboro, MA, and Jennifer (Wroblewski) Lopez and her husband John of Monson, MA and great-grandchild, Jonathan Lopez, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Augusto (Gus) Pascucci of Perth, Western Australia. The family would like to thank Dr. William Freedberg, and the nurses and staff at Heritage Hall North C and D wings for their compassionate care of Mary over the last nine years of her life as she, and her family, struggled with her Alzheimer's disease diagnosis. She was interred at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA where her husband, a US Navy veteran, also was interred after he passed on, the day after Veterans Day, November 12, 2014.
Alzheimer's Prayer
Do not ask me to remember. Don't try to make me understand. Let me rest and know you're with me. Kiss my cheek and hold my hand.
I'm confused beyond your concept. I am sad and sick and lost. All I know is that I need you To be with me at all cost.
Do not lose your patience with me. Do not scold or curse or cry. I can't help the way I'm acting, Can't be different though I try.
Just remember that I need you, That the best of me is gone. Please don't fail to stand beside me, Love me 'til my life is done.

"The Broken Chain"
We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.

Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
