Charles A. Mitchell, 80, of Victor, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital following a brief illness.
He was born and raised in Mannsville, Okla., and came to Visalia in 1938. He worked on various farms as a laborer and retired in 1967.
Mr. Mitchell married Irene Goupp in Nevada in 1968. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Irene V. Mitchell; three sons; two daughters; two sisters, Alta Thomason of Oakley and Pauline Simmons of Texas; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park.
