Perry L. White passed away in his sleep on May 5, 2014 after fighting a long battle with Emphysema, as a result of smoking for too long.

Perry was born in Kingman, Kansas on Aug. 31, 1934 to Ethel Cummings White and Harold White. He married Wanda Noel. They had two sons, Robert (Connie) White and Richard (Shannon) White.

On Sept. 25, 1982 he married Marjorie Osmun in Flagstaff. Perry acquired two of Marge's daughters, Sharon Russo and Loree Bowers (Keith).

Perry is survived by his wife, Marjorie; brother, Gene White (Lynn) of Georgetown, Texas; three step brothers, Stewart Floyd (Maryjane), Charles Floyd (Joan), and Dick Floyd (Dixie); his aunt, Dorothy Hoppes, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Perry is also survived by his grandchildren, Tara Alisha Rife (Dave), Brice Tyler White, Jessica White (Kelly), Justin White (Tanya) and Jeremy White (Holly); step grandchildren, Matthew Bowers (Katie), David Bowers (Megan), Megan Inzunza (Henry), Tasha Mangum (Dallin); two great-grandchildren, Jacob Robert Dushion, and Ayden Joel White; and his step great-grandchildren, Kylie, Payton, Alisa, Alexia, Zach, Alex, and Dallin.

Perry moved to Page in November 1966 from New Mexico and worked as an Electronics Mechanic with the Bureau of Reclamation and the Department of Energy. After moving to Church Wells, Utah in 1986 he retired in 1991. He loved hunting deer, elk and antelope along with fishing in Lake Powell. Perry was very active in organizing the Lake Powell Boat Club and was active in Page/Lake Powell Lions, Ducks Unlimited and AZ Mule Deer. He also volunteered with "The Healthy Meals" program. Perry piloted 28 rafting trips down the Colorado River for Sanderson and Diamond River Runners. Perry was also a licensed airplane pilot. He loved to cook and was famous for his smoked turkey legs.

Perry and Marge moved to The Cottonwood Village in October 2013 where he met many new friends and enjoyed wood carving before he passed.

Funeral services will be held from 1 – 4 p.m., on May 31, at the Page Community United Methodist Church, with Pastor Teresa Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Perry's name to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Attention: Shelia Bush, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd, Kanab, UT 84741 or Hospice Compassus 70 Bell Rock Plaza, Suite A, Sedona, AZ 86341.
