Henrietta C. Merker was born in Quincy, Illinois, February 28, 1888. She died near Hooper, Colo. October 16, 1918.
She united with the Lutheran church at fifteen years of age. She took a course in nursing in a hospital in St. Louis, but owing to ill health came to Colorado Springs in June 1912. Later she went to San Acacio, Colorado and there met Jerry Lincoln.
December 12, 1914, she was united in marriage at her home in Quincy, Illinois to Jerry Lincoln of Hooper. To this union were born two boys. One baby was born Jan. 20, 1916 and expired at birth. The other, Jerry Lincoln, Jr. was born March 20, 1917. Those left to mourn her death are her husband Jerry Lincoln; her son Jerry Jr. of Hooper; her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Merker; two sisters, Misses Selma and Ida Merker; five brothers, John, Fred, Amel, and Roy Merker, all of Quincy, Illinois and Lee Merker , now serving in France.
Mrs. Lincoln leaves a host of friends to join the family in their grief.
