Juan, a resident of El Guique, passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife Rosina; his parents Ambrosio and Donelia Archuleta; infant daughter Lourdes Archuleta; brothers: Luis, Sambran, Jose Eligio, Freddy, and Ambrosio; sister Fabiola Quintana; mother and father-in-law Antonio E. and Margarita M. Martinez; brothers-in-law: Jose Celso and Telesfor Martinez.

Juan was survived by his children: Eli Archuleta, Juan Archuleta Jr., Annette Quintana (husband Joe), Lisa Salazar (husband Eric); sisters: Amalia Martinez (husband Lino), Inez Vigil, Faustina Maestas (husband Rudy), Maria Owens, and Teresa Jennings (husband Larry); grandchildren: Lisa Marie, Amanda, Angelica, Ambrosio, JuanAndres Archuleta, Joey and Josh Quintana, Anthony Gomez, Sioban Gomez-Salazar, Joni Gomez, David Lucero and Patti Armijo; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Demitri, Angelo, Augustine, Austin, Indika, Ezra, Adam, Christina, Davina, Eliana, Joseph, Lilianna, Missy, Mari, and Aaliyah.

Juan was a very gentle person who was willing to help anyone in need. He was quick-witted with a great sense of humor. He was a hardworking man, always wanting to make a good life for his family. He owned the Pizza Parlor along with his wife and ran the family cattle ranch, working outside with his animals made him the happiest. He loved having large family gatherings, and got much joy from seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Public visitation and Rosary were on 15 June 2014 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial was on 16 June 2014 also at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial followed in the San Rafael Cemetery in El Guique. Pallbearers: Paul Archuleta, Lenny Archuleta, Anthony Gomez, Angelica Archuleta, Kyle Rodriguez, and Demitri Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers were all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three special great-great-nephews: Dominic and Christian Condensa, and Isaiah Johnson Condensa.
