Mr. Gorden was born April 27, 1926 in Blooming Grove, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 10, 2006.

Billy was a precious man who was loved by all who knew him. Billy loved to be with his family and enjoyed camping and fishing with them.

Billy joined the Marines on October 12, 1943 serving as a heavy truck driver on the Pacific Island of Pelelius. He received numerous medals including the Purple Heart.

He married Ruby Inez Odom on February 17, 1945 and was a faithful husband for 60
years and a loving daddy.

Bill was a lifetime member of the D.V.A. and the V.F.W.

Bill is survived by his wife Inez, sons Billy Jr. and Nelda Gorden, Donald Wayne
and Joyce Gorden, and Rodney Lee and Mona Gorden, grandchildren Terry, Tim, Tony, Chris Gorden; Donald Jr., Patrick, Amber Gorden, Lance and Laury Gorden. Billy also had 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Gorden will be Friday, January 13, 2006 at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas at 10:00 AM with Bro. Bill Honea officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Corley Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until
8:00 P.M.
