Laura Barrett Shelby is my beloved grandmother. She was truly the matriarch that held our family together. She and my grandfather were united in marriage and to their union nine children were born: Eddie Mae, Eddie Jr, JoNathan, Emma, David Lee, Jeremiah, Neremiah, Louise, and Ann. Along with a host of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She passed away at home from breast cancer at the age of 86. Loving and always humble, she was a faithful Christian, devoted mother, grandmother, and adored wife. She is buried along side her husband of over fifty years, Eddie Shelby.
