Robert M. Audet, 77 of Independence, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Monterey Park Care Center. He was born March 28, 1925 in Independence, to Earl F. Audet Sr. and Elizabeth (Ramsdell) Audet.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and won the Purple Heart.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Laurel Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Earl F. Audet Jr.
His survivors include his wife, Frieda Audet; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Larry Cole and Kimberly and Jeffrey Newhard, both of Independence, MO; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Ruth Fillee of Potter, NE; and sister-in-law, Betty Audet of Independence, MO.
Services will be Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Interment will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
