August 27, 1903 Union County Courier and Union County Leader Death of Mrs. J. S. Teller Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Teller, widow of James S. Teller, died very suddenly at her home at McCook. Sunday night, August 23 at 11o'clock of heart failure. She had been up and about all day and seemed to be in the best of health until about 10:30 O'clock when she told her son Jess that she was not feeling well. A neighbor, Mrs. Jas. Merrill was called as was the physician from Sioux City but before the doctor arrived she had passed away. Hannah Elizabeth Ford, the maiden name of the deceased was born October 27, 1838 near Columbus, Ohio. The 20th of July 1857 she was united in marriage with J. S. Teller at Lancaster, Iowa Moving to Dakota county, Nebraska, in October 1868 they lived there until March 1875 when they moved to McCook, which has since been there home. James S. Teller died Sept. 29, 1900. Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Teller, eleven of those are still living.
