Ray Vincent Browning was born April 18, 1930 in Healdton, OK to James and Mowatte (Stonecypher) Browning. He passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Norman, OK at the age of 84.
Ray grew up in Healdton. He began working at Tinker Air Force Base in 1948 and retired in 1981 as a Jet Fighter Fuel Control Specialist
He married Vera Mae Johnson on February 18, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK and to this union 4 children were born.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Rebecca Browning; brothers, Leon and J.T. Browning, infant brother Windford Browning; and sisters, Florence Coffee and Ima Bandy.
Ray is survived by his wife, Vera Mae Browning; a son, Michael Ray Browning and his wife, Sharon; 3 daughters: Glenda Kaye Ashford and her husband, Dale, Teresa Faye Anderson and her husband, Bob, Direnda Gaye Lancaster and her husband, Gerald; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and his sister, Laura MaShore
Interment will be in the Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
