Claud M. Allsop, Age 76, passed away on December 18, 1997 following a brief illness.

Born November 1, 1921, Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles William Allsop and Colenso Farrimond Allsop. He was a wonderful companion, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother ,and friend. He was always willing to help others. Coached Rose Park little league baseball for many years, and served as Vice President for the Babe Ruth Baseball Association. Was a disabled veteran of WWII, 7th Armored Division. Retired from Hill Air Force Base, and ZCMI, and was an accomplished outdoors man.. Married Ivis Anna Gibson in Tooele, Utah. Survived by wife, Ivis, Salt Lake City, Utah; children, Jed (Norma) Allsop, South Jordan, Utah, and Gini (Marlowe) Moncur, Irvine, California; Grandchildren, Aaron and Sarah Allsop, Brett, Jennifer and Emily Moncur, and Tyler Allsop Kirkeeng; great-grandchild Danielle Mancur; brother Robert(Ruth) Allsop, and sister Flora (L.N.) Case; Brother Reed (Elaine) Babcock, sisters Rula (Jim) Dickson, and Rae Meyers. and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, mother; son Roy Allsop; step-father, Reed Babcock; and sister, Lea Burrows. He will be missed by everyone.

Funeral Services will be held Mon, Dec.22, at 1 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 6 to 8 p.m and Monday one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
