James Carpenter, 51, of Mountain Home, entered into rest on June 12, 2014.
He was born June 1, 1963 in Taft, California to Max and Charlotte (Varley) Carpenter. He married Robin (Perkins) Carpenter on October 28, 1988 in Bakersfield, California.

He worked for Texaco Production and later Braun Electric in Taft, California before moving his family to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1998. He worked as an electrician for Ellison Electric and later became Plant Manager for Bryant Plastics in Gainesville, Missouri. He loved his job and the extended family that came with it.

He loved fishing and gardening, but his real passion was spending time with his kids and building and running jet boats. He was a great provider, and loved being a husband and a father more than anything. His family was his life.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Kashley Carpenter in 1991, mother Charlotte Carpenter, grandparents Wilmer and Gwen Carpenter, father-in-law Jimmy Dale, and friend Todd Brown.

He is survived by his wife Robin of 26 years, daughter Kelsey, and son James, all of Mountain Home. His father Max (Johnnie) Carpenter, and brother Frank Carpenter, of Gainesville, Missouri.

He was a wonderful husband; father, brother, son, and friend. His laughter, his smile, and his love for the people he loved, will live within us forever. God speed my "Scooter."

A Memorial Graveside will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Baxter Memorial Gardens.
